The Great Camping Adventure

Instructions: Divide the group into sound teams, each assigned a specific sound effect:

Crickets chirping: “Chirp, chirp, chirp!”
Owl hooting: “Hoo, hoo!”
Campfire crackling: “Snap, crackle, pop!”
Tent zipping: “Zzzzziip!”

“It was a calm night at Camp Happy Trails. (Crickets chirping) The Scouts gathered around the fire. (Campfire crackling) Suddenly, they heard an owl in the distance. (Owl hooting) As they told ghost stories, the wind picked up, and someone zipped up their tent. (Tent zipping) Just as they began to settle down, a twig snapped in the woods! (Everyone claps or makes a snapping sound) They all shouted together, ‘Who’s there?!'”
